Over 11,000 Marijuana plants, worth 22.8 Million dollars, is found in the California mountains.
Authorities in San Mateo County California were stunned at how many illegal plants were being grown in the mountains. After starting a task force designed to prevent damage to wildlife habitats and crops that pose a danger to residents, the California Department of Justice arrested four suspects Joaquin Sanchez, Joel Ochoa Sanchez from Redwood city, and Juan Farias Galeana, and Jose Antonio Mendoza, both from Michoacán, Mexico. All Suspects were linked to over 7,000 of the plants and police are investigating further into more arrests.
