First Head Transplant Surgery on a Human set for December 2017.
Valery Spiridonov, a Russian Man, is scheduled to have surgery December 2017 and will be the first man to have a head transplant. Valery suffers from a rare disease called Werdnig-Hoffmann Disease, this causes the the cells that send the signals to your muscles to deteriorate which leaves you paralyzed. Spiridonov is happy to be a part of the surgery and says he is happy to be a part of something so big.
Sergio Canavero, the head Surgeon, is teaming up with Xiaoping Ren, a surgeon who has transplanted over a 1000 heads from mice. The Duo has prepared for the surgery for 2 years and are confident all will go well. The surgery is to last 36 Hours straight.
