Six Time Champion Miguel Cotto is retiring, books his last fight for December 2 in New York


Miguel Cotto , Six Time champion in over four weight divisions, plans to retire after his last fight December 2, 2017 against . Sadam Ali. The fight will be held at Madison Square Gardens in which Cotto will be defending his Light Middleweight belt.


Cotto said "I'm very excited to be back in the ring for my final fight at The Garden. I've worked really hard my entire career to be at this level," and that he will be collaborating with boxing trainer Freddie Roach to work on his victory.


Miguel Ángel Cotto Vázquez (born October 29, 1980) is a Puerto Rican professional boxer. He has held the WBO light middleweight title since August 2017, and has held six world championships, being the first boxer from Puerto Rico to win world titles in four weight classes. As of September 2017, Cotto is ranked as the world's second best best active light middleweight by BoxRec, third by The Ring magazine, and seventh by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board. In 2007 and 2009 he reached a peak pound for pound ranking of seventh by The Ring noted by Wikipedia.
