Millions of dollars of Legal Marijuana crops have been burned by the California Wildfires.
As of Friday morning, more than a dozen fires across Northern California had burned hundreds of thousands of acres. "Through all of our fires, we are starting to make progress," Barry Biermann, Napa County Fire Department Chief, told reporters Friday. At least seven major legal marijuana farms have been destroyed in the fatal Northern California wildfires and more are to be found damaged as well.
The crop damage comes just three months before California was set to begin state licensing for recreational sales. It is not certain how much was lost but they are estimating it could be in the tens of millions of dollars lost for California revenue.
