For the first time in NFL History the Philadelphia Eagles win a Superbowl

Superbowl LII was set to big a major game for the Philadelphia Eagles franchise. The Philadelphia Eagles are one of 13 NFL franchises that have never won the Super Bowl and it took them over 50 years to do so.The Eagles finished the regular season with a record of 13–3, one of four teams (along with New England, Minnesota, and Pittsburgh) with that record and carried on the season to go against New England in the Superbowl. The game ended with a score of 41-33 with Philadelphia for the win. This is not only a big win for the team but for the whole state of Pennsylvania. The Eagles have existed as a franchise since 1931. In the time before the merger, they won 3 national titles, including the 1960 championship, when they were the only team ever to defeat Vince Lombardi (after whom the Super Bowl trophy is named)

This is A rematch of 2004's Super Bowl XXXIX, which was won by New England 24–21, Super Bowl LII is the first Super Bowl appearance for the Eagles since that game. The Patriots became the first team since the Seattle Seahawks (who made Super Bowls XLVIII and XLIX) to appear in two consecutive Super Bowls, having won Super Bowl LI in the previous season, and are also seeking to become the first team to repeat as Super Bowl victors since they won Super Bowls XXXVIII and XXXIX. Philadelphia is making its third appearance in the Super Bowl, having lost Super Bowls XV and XXXIX. They are making NFL history and have broken their 50 plus years of bad luck in the NFL as now one of the top teams to beat. Many players were excited jumping in joy and people all around Pennsylvania will be celebrating their team for weeks to come.
