Battle rapper Tech 9 has died, Tech N9ne of Strange Music still alive.

The battle rap community has taken a loss after losing one of the long time MC's Tech 9 but many have confused him with Tech N9ne of Strange music, which are two different entities. Tech 9 the battle rapper started his professional battle rap career as a fighting cub in the legendary leagues, Lionz Den and Street Arena. He continued his much success by commentating events and traveled the US battling any MC in his way. Many are feeling an impact for his loss.

Aaron Dontez Yates (born November 8, 1971), better known as Tech N9ne is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur. In 1999, he and business partner Travis O'Guin founded the record label Strange Music. He has sold over two million albums and has had his music featured in film, television, and video games.
