Rapper YNW Melly is facing the Death Penalty for the shooting of his close friends

Rapper YNW Melly was recently found as an accomplice in a double murder investigation which involved a friend of his. Authorities investigation found that YNW Melly conspired with fellow rapper YNW Bortlen, to stage the double murder of Williams and Thomas Jr. and make it appear as if they were fatally injured in a drive by shooting. They later dropped the victims off at the hospital where they later died. Prosecutors are now seeking the death penalty for YNW Melly are also suspects in the shooting of a Sheriff's deputy. The fatal 2017 shooting of off-duty Indian River County Sheriff's Department deputy Gary Chambliss took place in Gifford where YNW Melly was located.
